Dress Code

Personal appearance influences the sphere and educational environment of a school. Our clothing tends to reflect our feelings and influences our behavior. Our dress code, along with our educational philosophy and academic programs, promotes an atmosphere where our students can comfortably focus on learning and positive growth.

Students are expected to dress in a manner that is respectful to themselves, fellow students, faculty, administrators, and the community. Students are to be properly attired in school-acceptable wear before entering classroom buildings and until the end of the educational day. After the last class bell rings, if a student remains in the classroom buildings, their attire should conform to the guidelines for school-sponsored events.

Students should be dressed in an exemplary and appropriate manner when representing ANC on a team, on school trips, for social activities, or for special events.

The Girls School and Boys School Principals reserve the right to adjust specific items of the dress code and special standards as necessary and warranted to maintain order and to uphold a sphere and environment conducive to education. Repeated clothing violations will result in disciplinary consequences.
